I discovered my passion for video production while at Bowling Green State University, where I had the chance to perform with my acapella group for a local TV station. The energy and excitement of live production hooked me, and I quickly applied to work there, spending several years learning the ropes and building the foundation for my career.
After growing up in Ohio, my wife, two mischievous cats, and I took a leap of faith and moved to NYC with no job prospects—crowded into a one-bedroom apartment with strangers. Despite the uncertainty, it was a thrilling time to pursue our passions. After working as a server, I landed my first break at SB Nation, making videos for YouTube. I then went on to serve as Technical Director for Time Inc. Studios for over six years and then moved onto the role of Supervising Technical Producer at SiriusXM in their Video Programming department.
As a leader in the control room and on location, I prioritize clear communication and respect, encouraging my crew to do their best work. I thrive in the fast-paced, creative nature of production, whether as a team member or leader.
I currently live in Montclair, NJ with my beautiful wife, our big trouble making cat, and 2 amazing energetic children. While much of my personal time goes to raising those kids up, I also love to cook, hike the lovely NJ parks, play video games, play guitar and sing! In fact, here is a goofy video I made at SB Nation that shows just that!
